audio: MP3 at 15.8 mebibytes
Worcester's Cha Cha arrived in Oaxaca, Mexico on November 10, 2006. In this interview she discusses the Oaxaca strikes, subsequent repression, indiginous movements of Southern Mexico, the relation to the United States to these movements, and her other experiences in Mexico. The interview is in MP3 format at 17 minutes 15 seconds.
"The repression that is happening in a place like Oaxaca could also happen in the US someday. You know, these are not wild radical rebels, ok, these are teachers, professionals who are facing this kind of repression, who are being dangled out of helicopters... I think we'd do really well to learn from the ways they are organizing and fighting back against repression..."
