The City Council's Economic Development Committee this afternoon declined to make a decision in the matter of expanding the Montvale Historical District, a decision that might affect the nearby American Antiquarian Society's plans to build a parking lot.
This morning the committee held a hearing at City Hall, with people speaking on all sides of the issue.

Councilor Phil Palmieri, a committee member, said that, "We'd like to take a site visit," and said he'd be joining with the City administration to look for "alternatives" while fast-tracking the issue.
