A controversial article from InCityTimes.org, republished and removed from other local websites, then submitted anonymously to Worcester Indymedia, then removed from InCityTimes.org, has been removed from Worcester Indymedia after a request from Rosalie Tirella, author of the article and editor of the InCity Times.
Worcester Indymedia members felt that the article, a long series of angry personal attacks against one person, violated the editorial policies of the IMC site.
Some of the e-mails sent to Worcester Indymedia collective members are on the mailing list archive.
Anyone wishing to argue that this post or posts like it should appear on Worcester Indymedia is invited to discuss the issue on the mailing list or bring it up at the next collective meeting.
Background on the InCity Times article can be found in posts at the local websites Radioball, Worcesteria (Worcester Magazine blog), and Worcesterite.
woah
this whole fiasco is just hilarious
I missed the article!!
Anyone willing to briefly fill me in on the original article?
Removal is probably best
Publishing material that someone obviously did not want to make public was not an ethical thing to do. It did seem a bit malicious. Feuds between private parties should remain that way. Private. For everyone involved. Removing it was a respectful thing to do.
