An estimated 9,000 people of Albanian descent live in the Greater Worcester area making Albanians one of Worcester's largest immigrant groups.
In 1908, an Albanian Congress came together to agree upon a unified Albanian alphabet. KOMBI, an Albanian community-based cultural organization and over 300 members of Worcester's Alabanian community came together this past week to celebrate both this historic event and the Albanian culture.
