Support Worcester’s Building Trades by supporting jobs for local workers,Thursday May 21st, 3:30 - 6pm.

Let's tell Crowne Plaza to hire local people for local jobs.

Crowne Plaza did not hire local carpenters in its $4 million dollar renovation project.

The Crowne Plaza welcomes local business from local people, but does not welcome local workers to work on their projects.

With so many job losses it is harder to find work, especially when area businesses do not hire local people.

Background:

Many local building trade unions do hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of business to Crowne Plaza every year and were not even asked to bid on the project. There are plenty of skilled people in the Worcester area that can do this work. As many of the local unions do business at the hotel it is a shame that they will not do business with us.

The Carpenters Union is organizing a rally to show that Worcester people need to work on local projects. We want to send a message that Worcester is not going to be pushed around. Keep Worcester strong!

Thank you for your support,

David Minasian
