Midnight Painting at Stone SoupStone Soup members and Green Island friends wouldn't let one day pass without making it clear to neighbors and the larger community, "We'll Be Right Back". Stone Soup damaged by fireStone Soup, Worcester's beloved arts, activism, and community center, was damaged by a fire (cause unknown) late Thursday, March 26th. Hundreds of neighbors and community members have come out to help in clean up or offer support in various ways. Member groups will move to temporary meeting spaces, but the Stone Soup community is eager to rebuild and continue its mission. More details in the coming days. Stone Soup Celebrates 2 YearsCelebrating 2 years of having a home at 4 King St, Stone Soup threw an Anniversary Fiesta at Centro Las Americas on December 6, 2008. The party featured the Murga group, La Klandestina, from Leominster and Toxic Soil Busters. Awards were given to the Worcester Immigrant Coalition and Stone Soup members, Cosme Sierra and Becky Rothberg. Cultural Festival, Circus and Block Party will hit King St on August 25thKing Street Block Party Come kick off the last block party of the summer!
